Hey There

I created The Huddle as a warm, welcoming social group for ladies in Maldon — a place to connect, make friends, and feel part of a supportive community. I moved to Maldon in 2012 with my husband and our son, and eight months later we welcomed our daughter.

Like many people, I have fond childhood memories of visiting Maldon — swimming in the lake at Promenade Park and enjoying everything the town had to offer. When we decided to leave the metropolis in search of a more relaxed way of life, Maldon was at the very top of our list.

When I’m not juggling family life, you’ll usually find me out walking my dog Oscar, enjoying the outdoors, or getting out on the water paddleboarding. While I cherish time with my family, there are moments when it’s lovely to meet up with other women for a natter, make new friends, and take part in activities I might not otherwise try on my own.

The Huddle is all about relaxed, friendly meet-ups, shared experiences, and creating genuine connections — whether you’re new to the area or have lived here for years. There’s no pressure, just a group of like-minded women supporting one another and enjoying life together.
